Jordan Peterson: “Carnivore Diet Will Fix That!” In a recent interview, Elon Musk mentioned his back pain from childhood injuries, worsened by: “foolishly fighting a world champion sumo wrestler… and charging at him at full speed.”Peterson jumped in: “Carnivore Diet Will Fix That!”Elon was sceptical.Peterson shared how carnivore diet solved his wife’s long-term injury (which is great)...But Elon, still doubtful, said…“I like meat… but I don’t think the carnivore diet is going to fix this. I probably need an operation or something…”Peterson swiftly changed the topic.Musk is smart. Peterson too. But here’s the thing…Sure, the carnivore diet has helped many, but claiming it will fix spinal issues that might need surgery?… That’s a stretch.I’ll happily eat steak every day…But I’m yet to see steak heal say a disc protrusion or fractured vertebrae or cartilage degeneration.Sure, carnivore may help with inflammation and other conditions…But not everyone can digestively handle a pure beef diet, with very high levels of fat.(Nor do they want to).So, while I respect influential people, it’s crucial to know when to draw the line on taking their advice blindly. This is why I’d never tell any of my clients to blindly follow a diet…Instead, we look into all health and lifestyle factors first to identify the best course of action for long-term success. So my point is…Any time an expert (in unrelated fields) tells you blindly to eat a diet or do anything…Do yourself a favour, and ignore that advice…Until someone accurately diagnoses your problem…So you can receive an appropriate solution.

Interesting debate! Zac MasonThe carnivore diet may help some, but it's not a universal fix.

Nothing can fit everyone…I’m sure their are studies that say that a vegan diet solves a lot of issues too but you won’t catch me on one 😂

The Reality of Losing The Dad BodI analyzed a client's weight chart to uncover the truth...In 67 days... Only 25 of those days the scale hit new lows.So for 45 days, he wasn't losing 'weight'.Only 37% of the time scale dropped...... Yet, he's still 14.1 LBS down...And lighter, leaner, and more muscular than he's been in decades. So, a big part of this process...Alongside a personalized metabolic nutrition plan...And a customised metabolic workout routine...Is to adopt an investor's mindset. And avoid falling into a day-trader-like mentality of trying to win every day.Because It often takes men decades to grow a belly...So it's totally acceptable, and encouraged...To give yourself some grace to lose it...Without sacrificing every meal,Or trying to workout every in your hectic schedule.Weight fluctuations are normal,And todays' number on the scale doesn’t dictate your long-term ROI.So it's wise to zoom out, and focus on the long term trends. And if you're looking to shed 2-3 inches off your pant size in the next 90 days...But don't have a strategy you know will work long-term...And don't want to live in the gym or starve yourself every day...My Metabolic Recomp Method could be up your alley.Msg me "Recomp" to get more info an check our goals are aligned.

Why I Don’t Prioritize High-Intensity Cardio to Shed WeightI’ve tested this for years and noticed the same outcome. When I walk for 40-60 minutes,I feel mostly thirsty and maybe a bit peckish. However… After a 1-2 hour surf session…My first thought is “FOOD!”I eat a big meal with protein and carbs, but hunger returns within 1-2 hours, leading to a snack loop until dinner. But it doesn't happen to me after walking.(lower-intensity exercise). It’s possible that high-intensity exercise burns more glucose…Triggering hunger, while lower-intensity burns less. This isn’t to say high-intensity is bad..—sports like soccer, tennis, and BJJ are great…—but they can spike our appetite. One trick I do to suppress this unquenchable appetite…Is drinking water with a pinch of sea salt,It seems to replenish electrolytes faster. Also Coconut water with sea salt works too— Funny how saltwater tastes surprisingly good after intense exercise!(but tastes yuck any other time haha– maybe that's a clue)But with shedding weight, many guys feel too hungry on generic diets. And doing high-intensity exercise every-damn-day…While on a strict “low-carb” diet makes it hard to stick to a calorie budget and avoid overeating. The good news…Low-intensity exercise like walking, cycling, golf, swimming, and rowing…Still burns plenty of calories without making us ravenous. So, when I’m not surfing…I’m mostly walking and lifting weights. It keeps me lean with a high muscle mass ratio year-round.
