This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration becauseit supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our school loves to celebrate our children. One way we do this is through our PBIS STAR program. We champion our students for their Safety, Teamwork, Achievement and Respect. One of our school wide incentives is celebrations.
The ultimate goal is to remind and encourage students to keep working hard on their core PBIS values and behavior expectations.
During our celebrations, in addition to other treats, students will be able to enjoy fresh made slushies. They will be able to choose flavors like cherry, blue raspberry and watermelon. Cups with lids will be given so drinks will be safe from spilling and of course students will be able to choose a cool colored straw to allow them to enjoy a well deserved treat.
A little recognition can go a long way to motivate our students to make good choices and strive to meet expectations!
